The lecture is entitled “Supporting Young Children Becoming Bilingual”. Her talk will suggest how to raise young children with multiple languages. The lecture is free of charge with a welcome drink. PALIS Leaflet_Mrs. Dunn’s Lecture on Oct. 19th, 2016オパール・ダン夫人は、1970年代にブリティッシュ・カウンシルの役員として東京に赴任されたご主人と共に9年間日本に滞在。その間、皇室の英語教育を担当し海外生活の経験を持つ子供たちのために「だんだん文庫」を設立。その後、同様の文庫の創設はまたたく間に広がり、国際児童文庫協会を設立しました。
ポピンズとは30年以上に渡る深く長い関係があり、ポピンズはダン夫人のアドバイスを受けながらエデュケアの質を高めてきました。
この度、ダン夫人の来日が決定し、PALISにて特別講演を開いていただくことになりました。今回は「Supporting Young Children Becoming Bilingual」がテーマとなっておりますので、外国語教育に関心をお持ちのご家族にとって、また日本在住の外国籍のご家族にとっても、非常に有益かつ貴重な講演内容になるかと存じます。ご興味のある方は是非、ご参加くださいませ。
