As part of Project Zero in collaboration with the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the students at our school have been learning about people and animals that are less fortunate around the world. The proceeds from this Bazaar will go to ARK (Animal Refugee Kansai). The event will include a presentation from ARK, game corners and a chance to meet some of the animals from ARK. There will be kids’ clothes, toys, bracelets made by students, snacks and much more for sale. Please feel free to drop by!

We will be hosting our Open house on that day as well.

当スクールの年少クラスでは、現在ハーバード教育大学院と合同で行っているプロジェクトの一環で、世界の恵まれない人々や動物について学んでいます。この度、バザーを開催し、その収益をアニマルレフュージ関西（ARK）へ寄付することに致しました。当日はARKによるプレゼンテーションや、保護施設から動物たちも遊びに来てくれます。お子様の洋服や日用品の他、生徒手作りのお願いごとを込めたブレスレットやお菓子の販売もございます。どうぞお気軽にご参加ください!

当日はスクールの説明会（Open house）も同時開催致します。

PALIS invites you to a special lecture by guest speaker Opal Dunn, an award winning specialist in young children’s first and second language learning. The lecture is entitled “Supporting Young Children Becoming Bilingual”. Her talk will suggest how to raise young children with multiple languages. The lecture is free of charge with a welcome drink. Advanced reservation is recommended!

PALIS Leaflet_Mrs. Dunn’s Lecture on Oct. 19th, 2016オパール・ダン夫人は、1970年代にブリティッシュ・カウンシルの役員として東京に赴任されたご主人と共に9年間日本に滞在。その間、皇室の英語教育を担当し海外生活の経験を持つ子供たちのために「だんだん文庫」を設立。その後、同様の文庫の創設はまたたく間に広がり、国際児童文庫協会を設立しました。
ポピンズとは30年以上に渡る深く長い関係があり、ポピンズはダン夫人のアドバイスを受けながらエデュケアの質を高めてきました。
この度、ダン夫人の来日が決定し、PALISにて特別講演を開いていただくことになりました。今回は「Supporting Young Children Becoming Bilingual」がテーマとなっておりますので、外国語教育に関心をお持ちのご家族にとって、また日本在住の外国籍のご家族にとっても、非常に有益かつ貴重な講演内容になるかと存じます。ご興味のある方は是非、ご参加くださいませ。
